Stephen started out in life after leaving school as a civil servant. He then saw the light and went to college to study for a business studies degree, did his articles, and qualified as a chartered accountant with a local firm. While studying for his articles, he married Deborah (see below).
More recently, he worked for 16 years as the office manager for J. Richard Hildebrand & Co. in Golders Green. When Mr. Hildebrand retired he took over the practice and operated it from 2015 until 30 April 2025 when he and his team joined Taylor Associates.
Stephen has spent all his professional life advising small businesses on accounting and tax matters, specialising in the creative industries.
When not at the office he takes a keen interest in growing fruit and vegetables on his allotment, in history and the British countryside as a National Trust member, and in politics as a Free Speech Union member.
